Create an advertising video promoting Fujifilm's Instax Mini 8 camera. It should be fun, bright and elicit feelings of joy and fondness.
Approach / Solution
Given that this project is an advertisement, the first step was to research exactly who we would be marketing to. Our research showed that the target audience for Instax cameras are girls and women in their late teens and early twenties. As such, our ad emphasizes elements that would appeal to women in this age range.
Opting for a fun and peppy approach, we wanted to highlight the cameras ability to immortalize a good time in the form of a photo. To get this effect we used stop motion coupled with an upbeat song that work together to create a peppy step that highlights the three themes of the video. Images of birthdays, time at school and summer break are paired with the peppy music to emphasize the fun memories that an Instax camera can capture.
