Their old logo was disjointed, and the creator specifically wanted a mascot that will be recognizeable and can be incorporated on merch items.The client’s inspiration drew upon old video games, specifically CupHead, and wanted an illustration to match this style.

The Saturn character has headphones on to connect with the creator who is always wearing headphones but also the nature of ASMR videos that are best listened to with headphones on. The colours are a more saturated version of the planet’s natural colours, to bring more vibrancy. Different colour variations were made to allow for more variations for merch items.

A bold typeface was used for Saturn and the letters were kept lowercase to not have any aggressive visual stimulation; instead keep everything at a similar height for more visual cohesiveness. The “asmr” is smaller, in a lighter font, and a serif typeface to mimic the sense of a whisper.
